Celebrity Cruises - A true departure
Celebrity Cruises
Award-winning Premium Cruise Line
Since its first cruise in 1989, Celebrity Cruises has combined elegant and spacious accommodations with attentive service, high style and exceptional on-board cuisine.

Celebrity Cruises believes that dining well is an essential element of a quality cruise vacation.  In Celebrity's custom-built galleys, chefs prepare dishes from scratch, using the freshest ingredients.  Master Chef Michel Roux, who has served as the line's culinary and wine consultant since its founding, designs Celebrity's menus and supervises the training of all executive restaurant staff.  Thanks to Roux's expertise, guests in Celebrity's intimate specialty restaurants can dine on dishes such as tartare of salmon garnished with quail eggs; lobster velouté; rack of lamb en croûte; and zabaglione flavored with Marsala wine. Celebrity ships offer other dining options, from fine cuisine in the main dining rooms to outdoor grills and sushi cafés.

Luxury is a theme on Celebrity's ships, where guests can enjoy champagne and mimosas upon boarding; refreshing chilled towels when they return from shore excursions; fresh sorbet served poolside; and sunset yoga and Pilates classes.  Passengers who book the cruise line's ConciergeClass accommodations find fresh flowers and champagne on ice when they first enter their cabins, as well as “pillow menus,” plush duvets and robes from luxury linen maker Frette.

Celebrity Cruises has some truly unique offerings, including “Acupuncture at Sea.”  Acupuncture, a 5,000-year-old therapy that involves the insertion of thin needles at specific points on the body where energy collects, is said to restore balance between the physical, emotional and spiritual selves.  Celebrity's passengers can schedule sessions with acupuncturists licensed by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.  Celebrity Cruises also has an exclusive partnership with Cirque du Soleil, which provides its mystical style of entertainment on board select ships.

Part of the many intriguing onboard activities, the highly regarded golf program offers certified golf professional swing analysis, a state-of-the-art virtual golf simulator, and golf excursions (including guaranteed tee times) to some of the world’s best courses while ashore.

Celebrity Cruises will soon add a whole new class of ships to its fleet.  The cruise line has ordered three Solstice Class ships, with the Celebrity Solstice scheduled to debut in fall 2008, the Celebrity Equinox in summer 2009 and a third Solstice ship in 2010.  Each of the ships will carry up to 2,850 guests and will have the highest percentage of outside stateroom and balconies in the Celebrity fleet.

With the youngest fleet in the industry, Celebrity cruises Alaska, Antarctica, Bermuda, California, Caribbean, Europe, Galapagos Islands (the only large-ship line to offer year-round sailings), Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, Panama Canal and South America, Australia and New Zealand. Shore excursions are available in nearly every port, from exploring Easter Island, touring Bilbao, Spain's Guggenheim Museum, or coming face to face with a Tasmanian devil in Tasmania.
