Oceania Cruises is the world's only upper premium cruise line and the industry in destination cruising. With impeccable ships, delightful ambiance, five-star dining, and intriguing destinations rolled into one of the best values at sea, the line has quickly established itself as one of the premiere cruise lines for the premium and luxury traveler.
Throughout Oceania's nearly identical mid-sized (684 guests max.) ships, Regatta, Insignia, and Nautica, are dark polished woods and furnishings evoking a country club-like atmosphere which is most evident in the ships' bars, Card Room, Library, Casino, Grand Dining Room, and Polo Grill. High style prevails in the two shopping boutiques, teak deck pool area, and the other dining areas: the Italian Toscana, with floor-to-ceiling ocean-view windows; and the breakfast and buffet area of the
Terrace Café, which, in the evening, converts into Tapas on the Terrace, serving Spanish and Mediterranean - inspired dinners under the stars.
Dining is where Oceania shines under the masterful guidance of chef (and well- known author and gourmand to the elite) Jacques Pepin, Executive Culinary Director. Nearly 200 menu options are available daily. Complimenting the gourmet fare is The Perfect Table, an elegant placement setting which includes Versace china, Christofle silver and Riedel crystal.
The upscale, yet relaxed, theme continues in the numerous onboard entertainment options. Guest lectures, culinary demonstrations, wine tastings and art auctions are some of the more passenger-interactive venues, while jazz and classical music troupes, pianists, and entertainers keep spirits high in the bars and lounges. Adding to the ambiance is High Tea served every day at 4 p.m., accompanied with scrumptious goodies.
Along with their winter itineraries throughout Asia, South America and the Caribbean, Oceania is expanding their reach to offer Australia and New Zealand for the first time. Come spring 2008, the line's European season will commence with an extensive list of 54 European itineraries, including six new itineraries.
Each itinerary is designed to include overnight stays in some of the world's most intriguing destinations, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in the culture and history for two full days, rather than the mere hours many other cruise lines allot. Numerous shore excursions are available in each port as are pre- and post-cruise hotel packages are also available for those who desire to further their vacations.
